For about 25 years, I’ve been working in the field of advertising — what means to put out yourself and what you represent – making that transparent and visible. ABOUT FLORIAN
I started by completing an apprenticeship as a media designer for digital and print media.
After working for a short time at the company where I did my apprenticeship, I went into business for myself and worked as a freelancer for various agencies.
After that, I traveled and continued to do freelance work. I eventually settled in Switzerland, met my current wife and became a father, and found a job as a graphic designer at the St. Galler Tagblatt.
Following that, I took over as design director at a small advertising agency in Herisau.
I took over this agency and moved it to Degersheim, where I’ve lived since 2012. Six months later, the business fell victim to the pandemic and various other circumstances. So we wrapped things up properly and dissolved the company.
I now work as a social worker in a field of reintegration and serve as the group leader of the MediaDesign department. This is a wonderful combination that allows me to be creative and active in graphic design while connecting that to a meaningful purpose – accompanying, supporting, and encouraging people in all walks of life to commit back to Life in full.
Wherever life has taken me, I’ve initiated and managed graphic design projects – whether as a full-time or part-time endeavor – and I still really enjoy this work, meeting people with a wide variety of backgrounds, and collaborating with them.
